“It is certainly possible to lose 10 pounds in 3 days,” weight loss expert Dr. Craig Title tells the EXAMINER. “This is an ideal emergency diet to jump-start your weight loss goals.”
Dieters who complete the 3-Day Diet should return to their normal menu for five days before they resume the diet plan, according to New York-based Title and other experts. If dieters don’t resume their normal diet, their bodies will behave as if they’re starving to death so their metabolisms will go into “starvation mode,” shutting down to store fat instead of lose it.
“You’ll lose mostly fluid weight, which will make you look and feel less bloated,” says Title.
“Afterward, you can adopt a healthier lifestyle to keep the weight off.”
Cindy Moore, a nutritionist at the Cleveland Clinic, adds: “The plan yields about 1,000 calories in a day. It causes weight loss because it is low in calories.”
