Lose Weight Fast at Home with Dr. Oz’s High-Energy Diet Tricks

  • Eat to beat cravings and fatigues. According to Dr. Oz that we consume too much empty calories from sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. These sweeteners cause bad chain reactions to our bodies and lead us to cravings and sluggishness. Dr. Oz’s solution: Try to pass up anything with more than 4 grams of sugar per serving. If you crave for sweets have a little antioxidant-rich dark chocolate or applesauce. Dr. Oz suggests you try not to choose chocolate (1 oz.) two days in a row. The doctor promises, “In time, your body chemistry will re-adjust, sugar cravings will stop and you’ll feel totally revitalized. . . . Your waist will shrink like crazy!”
  • Take an energy supplement – Ribose. You might be wondering what ribose is — here’s Dr. Oz’s explanation on ribose. . . .

It’s a special sugar your body makes that helps build energy factories in your cells. You can’t get it from food, but it comes in supplement form. . . . Of all the options out there, taking a ribose supplement is the one that seems to turbocharge folks with the worst fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.

Here’s a warning from the magazine: Check with your doctor before trying a new supplement. Ribose is generally considered very safe, but it is not recommended for hypoglycemics or those who take diabetes medication.

The magazine says that as energy is turbocharged, so is weight loss!

Dr. Oz’s Rx: 5 grams of ribose 2-3 times a day.

  • Drink plenty of water. Mild dehydration slows metabolism.Dr. Oz’s advice: Drink enough water to keep your mouth and lips moist all day. A little dehydration is also a hidden cause of fatigue . . . . so if you’re feeling a little low, a glass of water may be the jolt you need.”
  • Go for a walk. Brisk calorie-burning strolls are “one of the best ways to jumpstart energy,” says Dr. Oz.Studies show three 10-minute walks work exactly like a single 30-minute session. Ten-minute exercise sessions can provide greater mood and energy boosts!
  • Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
According to Dr. Oz, “eight high-quality hours of sleep a day will help you restore energy and lose weight.”Proper rest helps us maintain ideal levels of hormones that affect metabolism, belly fat and especially appetite.According to one study, “people who got less sleep munched 220 more daily calories than people who got more sleep.”
